Spring Creek Nature Trails

Spring Creek Greenbelt is a large nature area running alongside Spring Creek in the northern sector of Garland, just south of the Bush Turnpike. Its four sections are all popular with families, hikers and naturalists.

1) Spring Creek Greenbelt - Harris Section

6006 N. Shiloh Road, Garland, TX 75044

  • Trail - .8 mile 8-foot wide concrete

2) Spring Creek Park Preserve

  • Trail - .3 mile paved
  • Trail - 1.8 miles natural surface

3) Spring Creek Forest Preserve and Greenbelt

1770 Holford Road, Garland, TX 75044

  • Trail - 12-foot wide trail – 1.3 miles paved; 6-foot wide – .33 miles paved
  • Trail - 2.5 miles natural surface

4) Spring Creek Greenbelt - Winters Park

1419 Spring Creek Drive

Two new trailheads at Winters Park, 1419 Spring Creek Drive, the other at Halff Park, 4695 Ranger Drive. From ample parking facilities at both locations, the paths quickly descend into the wooded greenbelt along the creek.

Preservation Society

To date, 266 naturalists have collected 6,800 observations featuring over 980 species in our Preserve, and there are many more to find. The Preservation Society for Spring Creek Forest has been established to work with Dallas County and the City of Garland to nurture the spaces within the Preserve. Visit SpringcreekForest.org.
