It’s ho, ho, hot outside, but it’s Christmas in July at Lakewood Brewing Company for the Hazelnut Temptress release party. Summer Santa will be on-hand to serenade guests and pose for photo opps with both the naughty and nice as all toast the release of Hazelnut Temptress and Lakewood’s new Winter Warmer Ale. With sweaters out of the question, revelers will participate in an ugly T-shirt contest, the winner of which will be announced at 5 p.m. with prizes for both humans and dogs. The Driftin’ Outlaw Band will be playing live from 12 to 3 p.m., and food specials from the new Lakewood kitchen will be available all day.
Drawing beer lovers from around the country, Lakewood just debuted its first-ever kitchen along with updates throughout. Its expansive covered outdoor beergarden has been made over with irrigated planters, new shade features, and expanded entertainment. From checkerboard painted tables and foosball, to dart boards and giant Jenga, the outside spaces now have firepits surrounded by Adirondack chairs, creating the perfect setting for the Christmas gathering.
Those not able to make it out for the Hazelnut Temptress release at the brewery can find other Lakewood beers, including Temptress, the number-one selling craft milk stout in Texas, on their local shelves using Lakewood’s ”Find Our Beer” tool online.
