Grady Spencer and the Work

May 12
Audubon Park

Grady Spencer & The Work's foundation is country but there is a beautiful mix of folk, rock, soul, and a whole lot of honesty about life, hard work, and being "Down but Blessed."

Singer-songwriter and lead vocalist Spencer's upbringing outside of small-town Paducah, east of the Llano Estacado, is the bedrock behind the country sound. The hard-working outlook on life helped him succeed in the West Texas Live scene before he sought after new beginnings and headed East to Fort Worth.

The most recent collaboration of Spencer, drummer Blake Sager, bassist Johnny Hatcher, and lead guitarist Tyler Martin, Wait, was released at the beginning of the year.

"Call it a sense of resilience, reflected in Spencer’s art," says KXT 91.7.
