Gone Fishin'

Lake Ray Hubbard spans 21,000 acres and is ideal for all fishing enthusiasts. Swing the boat by Garland’s own Bass Pro Shops where you can stock up on bait, lines, rods, reels, and accessories to make your day a successful outing. Then head out to a quiet spot along the lake, on the docks or anchor out of earshot.

You’ll have the best luck reeling in catfish and white or hybrid bass, as well as crappie which is abundant in the lake. When you’ve caught your limit, head for one of the lake’s parks like Windsurf Bay Park on the western shore, where you can fire up your catch on one of the public grills while the kids play on the playgrounds.
