The Downtown District has lots of holiday activities in store this year. Start the season off with Small Business Saturday to enjoy the best finds for Christmas gifting. Because who doesn't need some inspiration for Christmas gifts? Plus, be sure to return to view festive and bright holiday storefronts throughout the entire month of December. You can vote for your favorite storefront on the Visit Garland Facebook page from Dec. 9-19.

Santa's Downtown helpers will be busy offering lots of cheer all month long through holiday home tours, carolers, holiday movie classics, and lots of holiday shopping opportunities!

Small Business Saturday

Nov. 26 | 11 AM - 2 PM
Kick off the season with an all-day shopping experience on Small Business Saturday in Downtown Garland! Check-in from 11 AM to 2 PM right outside Latham Bakery (700 Main Street) for a complimentary hot drink, a special holiday ornament, and a scratch-off ticket to redeem at a downtown business.

Holiday Storefront Decorating Contest

Downtown storefronts will be dressed to the nines this holiday season! Stroll past the festive, twinkling displays throughout Downtown Garland as businesses show off their unique holiday decor. Vote for your favorites on the Visit Garland Facebook page from Dec. 9 through 19.

Magical Candlelight Christmas-Town

Several homes on Garland's 11th Street and in nearby historic Embree will be decorated for Christmas and open to the public during "Magical Candlelight Christmas-town 2022" from 5-9 p.m. Friday, December 2.

Christmas In Mexico

Dec. 17 | 7 PM
This choreographic montage, with more than 100 participants, is a representation of the birth of Jesus Christ. The Nativity will be represented in several episodes, including many traditional dance numbers.

Ugly Sweater & Gift Exchange Bash

Dec. 23 | 6:30 PM
Intrinsic Smokehouse & Brewery invites you to come out on Dec. 23 for their Ugly Sweater Christmas Party! Put on your favorite ugly sweater, bring a random wrapped $5- $10 gift (not required), and enjoy the party! There will be live music by the Whiskey Picks.
