Tea Cake Competition

Showcase your baking skills in our upcoming Tea Cake Competition taking place on Saturday, June 20, 2026 during Garland's Juneteenth Celebration!

Each applicant should be prepared to provide a dozen tea cakes for the judges to taste as well as the ingredient list (for safety purposes).

The ideal tea cake should be the perfect balance of cookie and cake. Tea cakes will be judged on the texture, sweetness, presentation, and if the tea cake breaks with a satisfying snap.

Applications close on June 5.

Winners will be announced during the Juneteenth Celebration event.
