Celebrate 50 years of The Rocky Horror Picture Show! Join Garland Downtown Business Association for a one-night-only anniversary screening of the cult classic. Costumes & audience participation encouraged — let’s do the Time Warp again!

For half a century, audiences around the world have shouted, danced, and thrown toast at midnight with Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Brad, Janet, and the whole outrageous cast of characters. Now, you can relive the magic (or experience it for the first time) in the grandeur of The Plaza Theatre.

Since its 1975 release, Rocky Horror has grown from midnight screenings to an international cultural institution. In recognition of its impact, the film was inducted into the Library of Congress National Film Registry, preserving its legacy as a “culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant” work.

Enjoy the full Rocky experience with an official Garland Rocky Horror Prop Bag! ($12 at the theatre). Each bag includes everything you need for interactive fun plus an exclusive Rocky Horror event pin created just for this 50th anniversary celebration!

Step right up! The night begins with The Ramazinis, a circus company led by Kelli and Julio Ramazini — a married duo who met while touring with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. For this special event, they’re bringing a full troupe featuring:

A stilt walker, contortionist, and juggler roaming the square
A giant rig for aerialist performances from 6–8 PM

It’s a spectacle you won’t want to miss before the movie madness begins!

6:30 PM -Live Music

As part of the You Ain’t Heard Nothin’ Yet concert series, discover fresh sounds and rising talent right here in Downtown Garland. On October 23, enjoy the Carleigh Reese Jazz Band.

Carleigh Reese has been a vocalist, keyboardist, songwriter, and bandleader in the DFW area for over a decade. Her performances blend Jazz, R&B, and Pop, with dynamic vocal timbres that keep every song fresh and every audience on their toes.
