Garland’s Sounds of Summer Concert Series returns every other Friday, beginning May 5 through June 30, for a summer like never before!

The City is proud to feature lively artists and entertainers who are sure to blow you away with talent and get you dancing in Audubon and Winters Parks.

Bring the whole family to grab a bite from on-site food vendors and let the kids challenge each other in the activity area.

La Reunion Norteña

Formed in 2008, La Reunion Norteña electrifies any stage they perform on through acoustic norteño baladas, corridos, polkas, and rancheras.

In 2013, they released their album "Y de Nuevo...Para Ti" which marked the beginning of an extended run inside the Top Ten on the Mexican Regional Albums and Top Latin Albums charts that ran through their 2017 album release "Enamorandote."

La Reunion Norteña will be bringing their Chihuanhuan roots to the Sounds of Summer stage this year with their traditional style on accordion and saxophone.

Consisting of nine band members, Shinyribs combines Texas blues, New Orleans R&B funk, horn-driven Memphis soul, country twang, border music, big band swing, and roots rock to make an entertaining southern soul sound.

Named "Best Austin Band" at the Austin Chronicle's Austin Music Awards (2017, 2018), live performances feature the lead vocalist, Kevin Russell, creating a "cinematic experience with on-stage antics that often include him donning a light-up cloak or leading a conga line through the crowd."

Special Guest:

Frank Hannon of TESLA
Although Frank Hannon is known best for his work in the rock genre as the founding member and lead guitarist of the band TESLA, his love for all types of music has led him to experiment in blues, country, and folk music.

This passion has also led him to record several solo albums including "Guitarz From Marz," "Gypsy Highway," "Six-String Soldiers," and "World Peace."

Frank is also passionate about the art of producing music and has worked with numerous other artists in his Northern California studio.

Wanda King, the daughter of the late blues Legend and master Freddie King, began singing at an early age, learning from the best music and musicians.

Although her father's passing halted her career, Wanda eventually couldn't resist the urge to sing the blues.

"Wanda’s voice resonates with a ferocity that matches her stage presence. She was personally asked by Dan Aykroyd of The Blues Brothers Fame to open for them at the grand opening of The House of Blues in Dallas and Houston, Texas." -
