Why not enjoy a soothing hike or bike ride through nature and soak up some fresh air outside? Visit one of Garland’s trails today – just remember to keep your distance and avoid parks that are crowded. For a complete list of Garland trails, visit https://www.garlandtx.gov/Facilities?clear=False.

The Spring Creek Forest Preserve Trail features an interpretive walking tour: https://springcreekforest.org/, and the Rowlett Creek Preserve Trail offers 14 miles of looped trail, perfect for mountain bikers, cross country runners, hikers, birders, and – well – everyone. Get the map at https://www.garlandtx.gov/Facilities/Facility/Details/Rowlett-Creek-Preserve-Trail-134.

The Rowlett Creek Preserve, a City of Garland park, features a gazebo, picnic area with grill and multi-use trail. The trail is 15.6 miles long, constructed on a staked look system that allows trail users to create paths ranging from one to 15+ miles long.

The trail is generally flat, containing a mixture of tight, twisting paths and open straightaways. This area is popular with hikers and off-road bikers, frequented by members of the Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association.
