Garland’s newest state-of-the-art tennis facility, Bob Day Tennis Center, features 12 world-class courts with high-performance LED lighting and a modern layout designed for both play and spectators. Managed by Impact Activities, the complex is built to serve athletes of all ages and skill levels while also welcoming tournaments, families, and fans.

The Bob Day Tennis Center stands as one of Garland’s newest and most dynamic recreational landmarks. Designed for competition and connection, the complex offers a high-quality tennis experience in a setting that encourages community gathering. In addition to premier court amenities, the facility supports spectators and event-day activities with flexible social spaces and evening play.

The center officially opened to the public on Sunday, March 22, 2026, following a ribbon-cutting on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Garland also announced the facility had already booked 23 tournaments, with a national tournament scheduled for May.

The complex is named for Dr. Bob Day, a longtime Garland civic leader and former mayor. A South Garland High School graduate, he served on the Garland City Council from 1995 to 1999 and as Mayor from 2002 to 2007, helping guide the city through a significant period of growth.

His civic contributions extend far beyond elected office. Day served four years on the North Texas Tollway Authority Board, and his volunteerism includes roles as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, a member of the Garland Chamber of Commerce board, and participation in numerous community committees and organizations.

Bob Day Tennis Center is already positioned to become a major draw for regional and national play, with dozens of tournaments booked shortly after opening.
