Time: 8:00 AM
Location(s):

1 of 1
Visit Historic Garland, Texas and celebrate Garland history with us on Saturday, September 17, 2022!

We'll hold our launch event at The Granville Arts Center starting at 8 am. It's early, so there will be coffee, food and fellowship.

Everybody gets a goodie bag. Plenty of parking is available. Kids are welcome, and those who are totally new to geocaching are especially welcome.

8 to 10 a.m. Donuts and coffee, geocaching goodie bags and passport pickup at the Granville Arts Center, 300 N. Fifth St.
A couple of local geocachers will take the microphone and share some of their most unforgettable geocaching adventures. We'll discuss the rules and the Garland History GeoTour passport, and impart any last-minute tidbits of advise and useful information that might help you on your journey. And we'll answer any questions. Geocaches are released on Geocaching.com at 10 a.m. Scatter and don't forget your passport!

3 to 7 p.m. Turn in completed passports, receive your challenge coin prizes and have some fun on the patio at Intrinsic
Smokehouse & Brewery, 509 W. State St.

We'll be gathering at Intrinsic Smokehouse and Brewery for some great food and brews. Those who have earned enough points can turn in their passports for our amazing geocoin. If you're not there yet, join us anyway. (You can finish later.) We will have several door prizes and lots of fun swapping stories about the amazing Garland GeoTour!

Be sure to come back and get any of our caches you weren't able to grab on launch day, and tell your friends about the Garland History GeoTour.

This Event is part of a limited release of Community Celebration Events to celebrate 20 years of geocaching. Geocachers hosted events between May 2, 2020 and December 31, 2022. Learn more about Community Celebration Events on the Geocaching Blog.
