Celebrate the 75th Labor Day Parade in Downtown Garland. The Noon Exchange Club of Garland hosts this annual parade that features bands, cheerleaders, and drill teams from all seven Garland Independent School District high schools as well as the elementary and middle schools.

The parade starts at Glenbrook Drive at Avenue D. It will run north to Main Street, then east to Fifth Street, and north on Fifth Street. It will end at Fifth and Austin streets.

Stick around for the post-parade activities:

The Rock & Roll Car Show with antique and custom cars from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Downtown Square; all cars are welcome, register upon arrival.

There will be a karaoke contest with cash prizes in the Plaza Theatre.

Various booths with free items for kids and adults as well face painting, balloons, and food vendors.

Food trucks around the Downtown Square.
