McDonald’s is a classic, long-running fast food chain known for its burgers, fries & shakes. Can you imagine a world without the Big Mac? Or Chicken McNuggets? Or Happy Meals? Luckily, back in 1954, a man named Ray Kroc discovered a small burger restaurant in California, and wrote the first page of our history.

From that humble start as a small restaurant, McDonald's is proud to have become one of the world’s leading food service retailers, with more than 33,000 restaurants serving nearly 68 million people in more than 119 countries every day.
